Colour Options

We offer three main printing options which are displayed below. Once you make the selection when purchasing we will edit your image to suit your selection free of charge. If you would like the colour and black & white mix please state which part of the image you would like left in colour by entering these instructions into the instructions box at checkout.

Canvas Material & Coating

Canvas Factory prints are printed on a high quality 80% cotton 20% poly blend semi-gloss canvas material which is 300GSM. Our semi-gloss cotton canvas offers fantastic colour reproduction. Cotton/poly blend canvas produces a much higher grade lasting canvas print as opposed to lower quality materials like 100% polyester. Cotton blend canvas also stretches a lot less over time so the canvas print has very little chance of becoming loose on the stretcher frame.

All prints are coated with a quality protective coating which protects against moisture, UV and dust.

Canvas Wrapping Options

Canvas Factory uses 3 different image wrapping options. The default option here is mirror gallery wrapping. If you require one of the other options you may request these in the instructions box at online checkout.

Mirror Gallery Wrapping (Default)

Mirror wrapping is our most commonly used form of wrapping. It simply mirrors your image onto the sides of the canvas frame thus displaying your full image on the front of the canvas while still giving the gallery wrapped look.

Full Image Gallery Wrapping

Full image wrapping is done by request. This is not our default option as very important parts of the image can be lost to the sides of the canvas frame when the image is wrapped. This option may be requested in the instructions box at checkout.

Colour Gallery Wrapping

Instead of the above wrapping options we are also able to just print your full image on the front of the canvas and then have a colour on the sides of the canvas. Most commonly a simple black or white is used on the canvas frame sides. This option can also be requested in the instructions box at checkout.

Stretcher Bars/Frames

Canvas Factory uses quality kiln dried stretcher bars with are 3cm in depth. The raised lip around the outside of the stretcher frame protects the print from pressing onto the frame and becoming dented with the outline of the frame edges.

Attaching The Print To Frame

All mounted prints are stretched and stapled onto the wooden stretcher frame. The staples are then covered and finished with a tape to minimise the scratching of painted walls during hanging and to give an overall better finish.

Ready To hang

All prints come ready to hang and by default are mounted with a brass spike hook which are great for mounting with 3M stick on hooks which are heavily available from hardware and department stores. If you require a different hanging method we are ablet to fix mounting wire or string instead of the default fixture. This can be requested in the "instructions" box at checkout.
